Today is the day; the unveiling of
the awaited Snowdon picture book!! To celebrate the great work of the
legendary photographer, Lord Snowdon, Acne has put together a coffee table
style book filled with 60 of his beautiful portrait pieces. With a majority of
heavy weight design houses producing picture books all about their designs and
legacy, I admit it's a bit of a breath fresh air to see Acne putting together
something like this. A collection of blue button down shirts, will also being
released today to go along with the book. These shirts are inspired by the ones
that Snowdon would often have his portrait sitters wear; thus the name for
the book, Snowdon Blue. Now the part I am most excited about: To go along with
the launch of the book and collection, Acne will be showing an in-store exhibit
of the photographers work from over the years. Starting in London, the exhibit
will then travel to Paris, New York, and Stockholm. So shouting out to everyone
in those cities... GO CHECK IT OUT!! I promise you won't regret it.
