So as you might know from my rambles
on twitter, I was lucky enough and was able to attend the very first Vogue
Festival this past weekend. I have my mom and sister to thank for that. Being the
“unaware of anything that is going on person” that I am, I didn’t even know
about this event until my mom started talking to me about it. She accidently
came across it while looking through a magazine while on a plane to San
Francisco. Thank heavens she went on that business trip! The events comprised of 4 different sessions
spread out through Friday and Saturday. I have to admit, the event was
well worth the 75 British pounds per session, although most would probably agree with me
in saying, it was still quite expensive to obtain tickets. So, a huge thanks to
my gorgeous sister for helping to pay for it.

The Real Karl?
With the release of his new chic and cheap line ‘Karl’, Karl Lagerfeld
decided to step into the shoes of ordinary people, doing everyday activities
like reading the sport news, driving, and grocery shopping. Displayed in the
pages of French Elle, you can see Karl Lagerfeld like never before. With
supermodels, Saskia de Brauw and Caroline Brasch Nielsen
by his side of course, and dressed head to toe in his latest ‘Karl’ collection.
“I haven’t driven since I was 18,” Karl says, “and that’s a benefit to society because I ended up in a ditch, without knowing why!”

A Man's Story
![]() |
As suggested by my lecturers, I went to see the
documentary A Man’s Story by Varon
Bonicas. The film follows the life of London menswear designer Ozwald Boateng.
Ashamed to admit it, I had never actually heard of Ozwald before they told us
to check out this film, however after watching the trailer it was obvious, I
was instantly captivated by him as a designer, even though I was never too keen
on men’s fashion.
2012's Fall Runway
After watching a lot of the AW 2012/13 catwalk shows live online, I gotta say, I really wanted to shove most of the outfits into my closet from now. Some great trends were taking over fashion weeks across the world, making me not want to wait until next season when it'll all hit the stores. So from all the looks I have put together some of the biggest trends seen on the runway for you guys to take a look for yourselves.
1. Military
First up we have the Military/Utilitarian trend. With the olive and black color mix, this was mostly given to us with a great heavy duty coat to give it the full look.
